Damão is exhibited in the very heart of Macau at the Leal Senado square for Dia das Camões
The last Portuguese Governor of Macau and his wife visit the stall of Damão. He takes keen interest in the things around, especially the raladora do côco, as he is familiar with it. This display was on 24th of June 1999, which was Dia de Cidade and also coincided with Saõ João. This used to be a holiday in Macau, but not any more.
